Abstract

Background: - The purpose of this systematic review was to determine the prevalence of soft tissue injuries in upper limb and lower limb among professional racquet players.
Methods: - This systematic review has been conducted using electronic search for publications in various electronic database: Google Scholar, PubMed and Science Direct. After implementing the selection criteria, articles published between the years 2000 to 2023 have been selected .Total 84 published full text articles were selected from different database. Out of 84, only 09 articles were included in this systematic review study on the basis of selection criteria.
Results:- On reviewing and analyzing the previous selected articles, the result of this study shows that there is high prevalence of soft tissue injuries at elbow joint and ankle joint in upper limb and lower limb respectively. Furthermore, on the basis of grading of injury, there was high incidence of mild injury and low incidence of severe injury of soft tissue at the elbow joint and ankle joint respectively.
Conclusion:- On the basis of findings, there is high prevalence of mild injuries and low prevalence of severe injuries found related to soft tissues at different joints in upper as well as lower limb statistically.  Furthermore, on the basis of grading of injury, there was high incidence of mild injury 70% and low incidence of severe injury 10% of soft tissue at the elbow joint and ankle joint respectively.
